The upcoming ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024 marks the exciting inauguration of this esteemed event, set to take place in Malaysia from 10th February to 18th February. Serving as a crucial component of the qualification process for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024, this tournament promises fierce competition and high stakes.
The tournament will feature participation from Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Nepal, Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Singapore, Japan, Qatar and Maldives.
The Asian Cricket Council unveiled the full schedule for the tournament on January 16, 2024, further fueling excitement among fans and participants alike. As teams gear up to showcase their talent and determination on the field, all eyes will be on Malaysia as it plays host to this inaugural edition of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024.
There will be four groups of four teams squaring off against each other in a round-robin format and the top two teams (i.e.) the winners and the runners-up from the Premier Cup securing coveted spots in the Asia Cup 2024, the anticipation and intensity surrounding the matches are palpable. The other four semi-finalists will qualify for the ACC Women’s Emerging Asia Cup 2025. It is pertinent to note that all the matches will carry points and are ICC-recognised.
