Team India is all set to host England and Australia by the end of this year. Announcing through the official Twitter account, BCCI confirmed that the cricketing biggies will be playing against India in December through the start of January 2024.
India is set to play two bilateral series against the two teams in Mumbai. They will be hosting England for 3 T20Is, followed by a Test game in December. The games are all scheduled to be held on Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium followed by Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.
India will play 3 T20Is on 6th, 9th and 10th of December 2023. This will be followed up by a single Test game scheduled to be held on 14th December through 17th of December. After having hosted and played against the English team, the Indian team will play against the Aussies from the 21st of December onwards. Australia’s tour of India is scheduled for a longer duration in comparison to England and will last until mid-January 2024.

Just like England, BCCI will host Australia in Mumbai’s DY Patil and Wankhede Stadiums. For the first time in 9 years, DY Patil Stadium will be hosting a Women’s Test game. The last Test game was held in 2014 in Navi Mumbai.

England women last played a Test against India in 2005 making it a matter of joy and enthusiasm for all. English seamer, Kate Cross expressed her enthusiasm stating, “The opportunity to come and play a Test match in India is bucket-list stuff for a lot of players.”
The tour will commence with India playing a 4-day Test game against Australia from the 21st to the 24th of December. This will be followed up by 3 One-Day International games scheduled to be held on 28th December, 30th December, and 2nd of January. Australia’s tour will be brought to an end with 3 T20I games scheduled in January 2024. These games will be played from 5th January to 9th January at an interval of 1 day each.
