The U19 Indian women’s squad has made history by lifting the maiden T20 World Cup Trophy. Led by Shefali Verma, the squad has managed to remain undefeated throughout the series.
Having defeated New Zealand at the qualifiers, India faced England at the finals. Showcasing sheer excellency at bowling and fielding in the first inning, the team was able to stop the opponents at a low score. In the second inning, the team was able to wrap the game in merely 14 overs.
Brilliance and absolute class showcased from the young team. The internet, overjoyed, showered blessings and celebrated the team’s maiden victory. A huge step towards revolution in Indian cricketing scenario.
