The Birmingham Phoenix will play against the Oval Invincibles in the 19th match of the third edition of The Hundred 2023 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The Birmingham Phoenix are currently struggling in this year’s competition, with no wins in four games so far. They also faced a loss against the Welsh Fire in their last game.
Bowling first, the Phoenix did a fine job restricting the Fire Women to 137/7. Marizanne Kapp claimed two wickets but the other bowlers failed to do well as the Superchargers posted 143 on the board. Cordelia Griffith played a good cameo of 30* off 15 balls but it wasn’t enough as the Oval Invincibles fell short of the target by 14 runs.
