PAK A vs WI A: In the third and final game of the one-day series, West Indies A defeated Pakistan A by three wickets at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore after lowering their goal to 163 in 44.5 overs.
Rameen Shamim, the captain of Pakistan A, bowled a fantastic stint, taking four wickets and conceding just 13 runs in her ten overs. However, her valiant effort was in vain, as Djenaba Joseph’s undefeated fifty-one helped the visitors over the finish line in the pivotal match in the PAK A vs WI A match.
With Shunelle Sawh and Shabika Gajnabi sharing the first wicket and scoring 53 runs, West Indies A started their chase unfazed and surpassed the 100-run mark with the loss of just two batters. They fell from 104-2 to 106-6 as a result of a Rameen-induced collapse that saw Zaida James, Trishan Holder, and Sheneta Grimmond all out for ducks.
With 31 balls remaining, Djenaba Joseph’s squad managed to get the innings under control and reach home. The other wicket-takers for Pakistan were Anosha Nasir (1-32) and Saima Malik (2-36), in addition to Rameen in the PAK A vs WI A match.
