New Zealand vs Pakistan: The New Zealand team, who have had a not-so-satisfying tour of South Africa are now all geared up to host Pakistan in the first week of December for a T20I series starting this Sunday. With a disappointing loss against South Africa, New Zealanders now have high hopes for the team, who are expected to dominate the home turf.

Playing a total of 3 T20I games against South Africa, New Zealand were able to win 1, settling for a series draw. But at the ODI game, South Africa had an upperhand winning 2 out of 3 games.

What raises the hopes of the New Zealand team is the masterclass performance from in-form batter Suzie Bates. Bates recently surpassed Virat Kohli’s record to become the leading T20I run scorer in International cricket across all formats, scoring a total of 4021* runs. Her feat has brought the team immense pride, making her success legendary.

Sophie Devine will be seen captaining this side of New Zealand and they will play under the guidance of senior players like Amelia Kerr, Bates and Lea Tahuhu.

Pakistan on the other hand, has had a disappointing tour against Bangladesh in the past month. They too will want to make up for the loss of the team and will be captained by Nida Dar, while the team comprises the likes of Aliya Riyaz, Bismah Maroof and Diana Baig.

The T20I games are scheduled to be held from 3rd December to 9th December and will be followed by 3 ODI games, scheduled from 12th December onwards. The first 2 games of the New Zealand vs Pakistan T20I series will be held at University Oval in Dunedin and the third game will be played at John Davies Oval in Queenstown.
