On Monday, March 04, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry broke a car window with her explosive six during the WPL 2024 game 11 against UP Warriorz at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
The incident took place during the 19th over of RCB’s innings. Deepti Sharma bowled a tossed-up delivery and Perry moved forward and smashed it over the deep mid-wicket fence. The ball hit the window of the display car and broke the side glass, leaving everyone including herself in awe. Someone fetched it from inside the car.
During her blustering knock, Ellyse Perry scored 58 runs off 37 balls at a strike rate of 156.76, including four sixes and as many boundaries. She also engaged in a century partnership with captain Smriti Mandhana for the second wicket.
Perry had earlier scored 44*, 23* and 8 runs in her last three innings for RCB.

WPL 2024: Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry assist RCB set a huge target for UPW
Outstanding half-centuries from Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry helped the RCB post 198/3 against UP Warriorz in their 20 overs quota in the WPL encounter.
Mandhana starred with the bat scoring 80 off 50 deliveries in an innings consisting of three sixes and 10 boundaries. Sabbhineni Meghana and Richa Ghosh also contributed with scores of 28 and 21 respectively.
For UPW, Anjani Sarvani, Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone picked one wicket each.
In response, the Warriorz were 39/0 after 2.4 overs, with captain Alyssa Healy and Kiran Navgire in the middle.
Royal Challengers will now look to return to winning ways ahead of Delhi’s leg of the WPL 2024. They registered consecutive losses to Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians after winning their first two games against UP warriorz and Gujarat Giants.
On the other hand, the UP Warriorz are coming on the back of two wins over Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants after losing their first two games against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals.
