The 3rd match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2023 will take place between Australia and New Zealand on January 11. Both the teams from group A would be aiming to open their World cup account with a victory. The Aussies had played against India and Ireland for their warm-up matches.

They had defeated India comfortably by 44 runs but went on to lose by 3 wickets against Ireland, winning one of the two warm-up games. Similarly, New Zealand went on to defeat West Indies by 32 runs in their opening warm-up game but then lost to England in their next match by 5 wickets with 37 balls to spare. The record of the last four T20 internationals by both teams looks impeccable for any team coming into the World cup.

Both teams have maintained a clean run by winning all four matches. The advantage for the Aussies over New Zealand is that they played more recently, as they just concluded their series against Pakistan. This would provide them with more match preparedness and would have sorted out their best 11 for the tournament.

As the records speak, this match would be interesting, and it would be tough to pick on a winner for the game. We can expect a close contest between these two teams.

The wicket at Boland Park is ideal for both aspects of the game. There is a good amount of pace and bounce offered at this venue, along with a decent hint of swing in the initial stages. The team winning the toss would most probably aim to bowl first.
