Ireland vs Australia: The third and final ODI of the Australia Women’s Tour of Ireland 2023 is slated to take place on Friday (July 28) at Castle Avenue in Clontarf, Dublin. The first ODI was washed out without a ball bowled. In the second, Australia put up a huge total on the board and won the match with ease. They will look to win this series by whitewashing the hosts as well.
However, Ellyse Perry helped Australia beat Ireland by a huge margin of 153 runs. After the hosts picked up two wickets in as many deliveries, Australia were reduced to 58-3 in 11 overs as well. It was Mooney and Perry who added 106 runs for the fourth wicket. Perry scored 91 off 99, including nine fours and three sixes as well.
With the help of all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland, they reached a huge total of 321-7. Although Ireland made a good start, they couldn’t continue for too long as they were bundled out for 168 as well. Ireland will now have a tough task to beat the Aussies.
