The Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025) saw some breathtaking batting displays, with players stepping up in crucial moments to deliver match-winning performances.

Georgia Voll – 99* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Georgia Voll announced herself in style in WPL 2025, stepping in as a replacement for Chamari Athapaththu for UP Warriorz. 

In a high-octane league match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Voll played an outstanding knock of 99* off just 56 balls. Her innings, laced with 17 fours and a six, came at a blistering strike rate of 176.78.

Voll’s innings was built on precision and execution, with the cut shot proving to be her most productive stroke. She formed crucial partnerships throughout the innings—first with Grace Harris, then Kiran Navgire, Chinelle Henry, and Sophie Ecclestone.

Her knock powered UP Warriorz to a record-breaking total of 225/5, the highest in WPL history. Despite narrowly missing out on a century, Voll’s performance was a defining moment in the tournament.

Beth Mooney – 96* vs UP Warriorz

Beth Mooney once again showcased why she is one of the most dependable batters in the game. In a dominant display against UP Warriorz, the Gujarat Giants skipper played an unbeaten knock of 96* off 59 balls, steering her team to a massive 81-run victory.

Mooney’s innings was all about elegance and timing, as she struck 17 fours at a strike rate of 162.71. The cover drive was her go-to shot, and she executed it flawlessly throughout her innings. 

A key aspect of her knock was the 101-run partnership with Harleen Deol, which set the foundation for Gujarat Giants’ total of 186/5. Mooney’s ability to control the innings from start to finish made this a truly remarkable performance.

Meg Lanning – 92 vs Gujarat Giants

Meg Lanning led from the front in a classic captain’s knock against Gujarat Giants. Scoring 92 off 57 balls, she hit 15 fours and a six at a strike rate of 161.40, guiding her team to a crucial victory.

Lanning’s innings was a masterclass in stroke play, with her cover drive standing out as the most productive shot. Her partnership with Shafali Verma, which yielded 83 runs off just 40 balls, was instrumental in her team’s success.

As one of the most consistent performers in the tournament, Lanning’s innings was a testament to her experience and ability to thrive under pressure.

Ellyse Perry – 90* vs UP Warriorz

Ellyse Perry delivered a stunning performance against UP Warriorz, remaining unbeaten on 90* off 56 balls. Her knock featured 9 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 160.71, propelling RCB to a competitive total of 180/6.

Perry’s innings was a tale of two halves—she reached her fifty in 36 balls but shifted gears spectacularly to accelerate in the latter half. 

Her remarkable effort ensured RCB remained in the game, which eventually went into a super over. Though RCB lost the match, Perry’s ability to step up when it mattered most made this innings one of the tournament’s finest.

Shafali Verma – 80* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Shafali Verma’s explosive batting was a highlight of WPL 2025, and her unbeaten 80* against Royal Challengers Bengaluru was a prime example of her power-hitting prowess. She dismantled the opposition bowling attack, smashing 8 fours and 4 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 186.04.

With the slog shot as her most effective weapon, Shafali made light work of a 151-run target, helping Delhi Capitals chase it down with ease. 

Her ability to take the attack to the bowlers and finish games single-handedly cemented her reputation as one of the most dangerous batters in the league.
