WPL 2023: RCB vs UPW, Match 8 – Live Streaming, Head To Head, Pitch, Weather, Playing XIs, Dream11 Prediction

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be up against UP Warriorz in the eighth match of the Women’s Premier League 2023 (WPL 2023) at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Royal Challengers have failed to live up to their expectations so far in the WPL 2023. Despite having some of the best players in the squad, they are yet to win a game this season. They have lost all of their three matches and are placed at the bottom spot in the points table.

In their previous game, they suffered an 11-run defeat against Gujarat Giants. Their bowlers conceded 201 runs while the batters managed to score 190 runs. Heather Knight contributed in both aspects, whereas Sophie Devine batted brilliantly. They are now in desperate need of a win and would have to be at their best.

On the other hand, UP Warriorz started their season with a win over Gujarat Giants. However, they suffered a disappointing 42-run defeat against Delhi Capitals in their previous fixture. Chasing a target of 212 runs, no batter stepped up except Tahlia McGrath, who went on to score 90* off 50 balls. Had there been more support, they could have got close. They could manage only 169 runs on the board. They now stand at the third spot with one win and a loss in two matches.

WPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs UP Warriorz, Match 8 – Key Players

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Heather Knight: Heather Knight has made significant contributions in both aspects of the game. She has played valuable cameos striking close to 200. She has also managed to grab four wickets in three games. We can expect her to play an important role in this match.

Ellyse Perry: Ellyse Perry hasn’t played to her full potential yet, and RCB are hoping that she gets in her full flow. Perry has the ability to take the game away from the opposition single-handedly with her exceptional all-round abilities.

UP Warriorz:

Tahlia McGrath: Tahlia is currently the top-ranked batter in T20Is and she displayed that with her exceptional knock in the previous game. Not only that, she is a decisive medium-pace bowler which makes her a lethal prospect.

Deepti Sharma: Deepti Sharma has been one of the best all-rounders in world cricket. She has stepped up in both aspects of the game. Although she hasn’t performed as per her abilities so far in the tournament we can expect her to shine in this game.

WPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs UP Warriorz, Match 8 – Pitch Report and Weather Forecast

The Brabourne Stadium is known for its good batting conditions due to its flat pitch and short boundaries. However, the pitch can be slow and low, making it difficult for bowlers to get much movement off the surface. The outfield is usually fast, which can add to the challenge for the bowlers.

The temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels around 50%. There is a possibility of dew later in the evening, which could make it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball.
