WBBL08: Laura Wolvaardt, has undoubtedly been one of the most majestic batters of the WBBL in the past few years. The South African batter is back and will be seen spending her summer with the Adelaide strikers for her third consecutive year. She has been prolific, batting impressively well at any order. WBBL|06’s leading run scorer and WBBL|07‘s second (only to MVP Katie Mack) leading run-scorer, has played an irreplaceable role in the team’s journey so far.
While the South African squad is in Birmingham, competing at the Commonwealth Games, Wolvaardt shared her excitement of joining the team yet again stating in her video message, “I love playing for Adelaide and am so happy that I will return this year. We were so close to the title last year and I know that as a team, we can take that next step this season. The fans around Australia love the WBBL and support us so well, I am really excited to see everyone again and hopefully put together a strong season.”

WBBL08: ‘Laura is a massive part of our team’ – Luke Williams
Laura Wolvaardt is known for her breathtaking cover drives. With a total of 70 fours and 15 sixes, she has been able to secure a total of 381 runs in the past 2 seasons as a Striker. Wolvaardt’s international records are on another level. She has so much more to bring to the table along with her power batting performances. Known as a supreme fielder, the player will guide the team with her international cricket experience. She had a huge role to play last year, where the Strikers dominated Brisbane Heat in the finals and Melbourne Renegades in the decider games.
