WBBL 2022: The 10th match of the Women’s Big Bash League 2022 will see Hobart Hurricanes play against Sydney Thunder at the Blacktown International Sportspark in Sydney on Tuesday, October 18.
The Hobart Hurricanes started with a brilliant win in the competition. They won their first game against Sydney Thunder but failed to carry forward the winning momentum against Perth Scorchers in their next game and eventually lost as well. After being asked to bat first, Heather Graham top-scored with 35 with the bat but she didn’t get much support from the other end as the Hobart Hurricanes could post only 109 runs on the board. The bowlers, meanwhile, could only manage to pick up two wickets as they failed to defend the total.
On the other hand, Sydney Thunder, are currently struggling in the competition. They have played two fixtures so far and lost both as well. They lost to the defending champions Perth Scorchers in their last game. After electing to bat first, only Tahlia Wilson (28) and Anika Learoyd (26) reached the double digits as they finished their innings on 88/8. Scorchers then chased down the total in the 15th over as well. The Thunder will also have to bring out their best game to register their first win on Tuesday.
