The much-awaited start to the year 2024 in domestic cricket unfolds with the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy all set to kickstart on 4th January 2023. It is the premier List A tournament for women in the country and boasts of the who’s who of women’s cricket participating and battling it out for the prestigious trophy. Last year saw the competitive Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal Trophy being played saw some genuine match winners emerge and the expectation will be similar for this edition of the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy 2024.

The teams have been spread across 5 groups and the winners of each group advance to the quarter-finals and the second-best team in each group progress to the pre-quarter finals. Eventually, the winners of these categories will square off against each other in the semi-finals and in the finals of this showpiece tournament.
Railways, the undisputed champions in the women’s domestic circuit have won the trophy a record 14 times and their finals versus Karnataka in 2023 will go down in the annals of history for being a well contested match.
