Pakistan’s U-19 T20 Tournament: Here Is All You Need To Know

Pakistan U-19 T20 Tournament will commence on the 13th of August. The tournament aims to develop new talent in the country and it will help them grow and flourish in the right direction. While the tournament is a major affair for the youngsters of Pakistan, it is sketched out to be held on 10 days.

84 players, young and international will be a part of this affair and will be divided between 6 teams. After each team has completed their table rounds, semifinals and finals will be conducted. All this will take place from the 13th to the 22nd of August as well. The tournament will have a major influence on the selectors for the U19 T20 World Cup that will be held next year in South Africa.

The winning team will be rewarded with silverware and a cash prize of PKR 400000 and the runner-ups will be rewarded a total of PKR 200000. Other than this, individual players will be felicitated for their rewards with a cash prize of PKR 10000. The Player of the tournament will be given PKR 20000. Best player, best batter, best bowler and best wicketkeeper will be shortlisted and they will be awarded kit bags too.

A total of 14 players will be a part of every squad. 15 players have been reserved in a pool too. Players born after 2003 are eligible for the tournament. Players are wisely selected from across the country to suit every team’s requirement.
