Mithali Raj Reveals Her Favourite Teams In IPL 2020

India’s ODI captain and one of the stalwarts of the game – Mithali Raj has recently named his favourites in the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) during an interaction with India Today. She revealed SunRisers Hyderabad is one of her favourites but her ‘top team’ is Rajasthan Royals.

“My favourites are Sunrisers Hyderabad but my top team would be Rajasthan Royals as they have been doing very well in IPL 2020,” Mithali Raj said.

Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t get a flying start in the cash-rich T20 league this season. They have lost three of their first five games so far. However, they are eyeing to get back in the winning zone when they will take on Kings XI Punjab next on October 8.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have started the tournament in a better way than Hyderabad. After having started with two consecutive wins against Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab, they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, they will certainly try to register another victory when they will play against Mumbai Indians on October 6.

“I am sure he will continue to perform in the coming season”: Mithali Raj on Virat Kohli

Apart from sharing her favourite teams, the most capped and highest run-getter in women’s cricket also reckoned that India, as well as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, will perform well. She believes that the happy space where Kohli is in on the personal front will not only help him to do well with the bat but also as a leader in IPL 2020.

“For him, a lot of things have been happening on the personal front, very good things. I am sure this will rub off on his professional life too. When you are in a very happy space, it is very natural for a player to perform. I am sure he will continue to perform in the coming season,” Mithali Raj further added.

Notably, Virat Kohli has returned to his zone with an unbeaten 72 against Rajasthan Royals and 43 against Delhi Capitals after having started with 3, 1, and 14 in their first three games.

On the other hand, the Women’s T20 Challenge is all set to take place in the United Arab Emirates from November 4-9 where three-team will take on each other in a round-robin format, along with the final. Sharjah is likely to host the tournament as well.
