IRE vs AUS: The series which had a not-so-clear start, has ended on a high note for Australia, as they have secured 2 out of 3 games scheduled. The abandonment of the first match was disappointing news indeed for the two teams and the global fans. But Australia successfully secured all two games, played in their entirety, and have sealed the deal against the Irish.
The third game at Dublin was a decisive one. With Australia having secured the recent game, Ireland was expected to make a strong comeback. If at all, Ireland would have been able to win the game, the series would have been tied between the two teams.

Prendergast batted for a total score of 71. Her contribution was major for the team to cross the 200 runs’ mark. She played a steady, reliable game, contributing the required runs for the team at a strike rate of 65.
Prendergast was assisted by Laura Delany, as she secured 36 runs. Rebecca Stokel also added a few runs to the scoreboard, and the team was led to a total score of 217. The lower order wasn’t able to secure any major runs for the team. The team wrapped up at a score, easy for Australia to chase, but also defendable, if bowled well.
