INDU19 vs NZU19 2nd T20: After having lost their first game, the Kiwis have lost yet another one. The loss was a rather disappointing one. The young Indian brigade has been able to shine by securing a huge game. Some brilliant collective efforts from the Indian team, each contributing the best in both innings. The Indian team was able to set a good score and were further able to defend it, picking all 10 wickets of the opponents.
Indian team won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand. A great decision, as the upper order and the middle order, put in the required efforts to help the team reach a decent score. Saumya Tiwari and Shweta Sehrawat opened the bat together. Both played for a while setting good momentum for the game. Sehrawat lost her wicket in the 8th over. She scored 34 runs but played at an impressive strike rate of 141 as well. Gongadi Trisha was able to carry the momentum forward as she scored 36 runs.
A significant contribution from the middle order led the team to a total of 176 runs by the end of 20 overs. Hrishita Basu then scored 21 runs at a strike rate of 190 which was a notable contribution indeed. Amie Hucker and Kayley Knightley secured 2 wickets each. They had a major contribution among the bowlers as they helped restrict the upper-order batters. Having to chase 177 runs, the New Zealand openers came in to bat. Abigale Gerken did play for a little while, but the entire batting lineup collapsed against the aggressive bowling attack from India.

Hurley Gala started off with the wicket streak for team India. Fetching 3 wickets, the baton was passed to Archana Devi who fetched another 3. One after another, the Kiwis lost wickets making it extremely difficult for the team to make a comeback. Mannat Kashyap fetched 2 wickets. Isabelle Gaze was trying to set some runs for the Kiwis but wasn’t very successful in her attempt.
A sad game indeed. New Zealanders were nowhere closer to the required runs. They lost all their wickets at 66 in 15 overs. India was able to win the game by a huge margin of 110 runs. Collaborative efforts from all players led the team to victory. With this team, India has been able to win 2 games out of 5 that are scheduled to be played.
