ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: Team Preview – Bangladesh

The inaugural Under 19 T20 World Cup in South Africa is all set to begin on 14th January where 16 teams will be featured. Like every other team, the Bangladesh team has also emerged as a strong team which can pose a massive threat as well. The team have a spin attack whereas their pace attack is slowly evolving too and they are expected to give a tough fight to the opponents.

The ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is the inaugural competition for the top young female cricketers from around the world, and it will be held every two years. Eleven ICC Full-Member countries — Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Zimbabwe—got free participation in the competition. One team from each of the ICC’s five regions competed for the remaining five berths.

What could we expect?

Bangladesh are placed in Group A along with Australia, Sri Lanka, and the USA and all the teams are strong opponents to them as well. However, a 5-0 series victory over Malaysia would help them boost their confidence. But the victory came at home where the conditions are very different from South Africa. Meanwhile, they have played two warm-up games to acclimatise to the conditions where they beat South Africa & India.
