India will take on Sri Lanka in the Group 1 Super Six match of the ICC U19 T20 World Cup 2023 on 22nd January at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, South Africa.
After three consecutive wins in the group stages, India finally suffered their first defeat of the tournament in their previous game against Australia. They were bundled out for just 87 runs which the Kangaroos chased inside 14 overs with seven wickets in hand. They now stand at the second spot in the Group 1 points table and would aim to bounce back in this match.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka ended up in the third spot in the Group A points table with just a single win in three games. They are now at the fifth spot in the Group 1 points table of the Super Six stage. In their previous game, they suffered a horrible 108-run defeat against Australia after being dismissed for 51 runs while chasing a target of 160 runs.
