England will take on Ireland in the Group 2 Super Six match of the ICC U19 T20 World Cup 2023 on 21st January at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.
England performed exceptionally well in the group stages, finishing first in Group B and winning all three matches. They now stand just behind New Zealand in the Group 2 of the Super Six stage at the second spot. They will be high on confidence after their previous game, where they thrashed Rwanda by 138 runs. They set up a total of 183 runs and then dismissed the opposition on just 45 runs. Liberty Heap was adjudged the player of the match for her knock of 64 runs off 35 balls.
Ireland, on the other hand, won just one of their three matches in Group C and finished third. They now find themselves in the second-last spot in Group 2 of Super Six. However, they’ll be happy after their performance in their last game, where they defeated Indonesia by 49 runs courtesy of an all-round performance from Georgina Dempsey.
