Bangladesh will be up against South Africa in the Group 1 Super Six match of the ICC U19 T20 World Cup 2023 on 21st January at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.

Bangladesh punched above their weight in the tournament as they started the tournament by causing an upset with their win over Australia. They ended up at the top spot in Group A to ultimately find themselves in the second spot in Group 1. In their last game, they defeated the USA by wickets courtesy of a captain’s performance by Disha Biswas, who claimed two wickets while giving only 13 runs.

On the other hand, the hosts South Africa are coming into this game on the back of a 45-run victory over the United Arab Emirates. Miane Smith was their star player as she managed to take four wickets while conceding just 11 runs. This win helped them finish second in Group D points table and get the fourth spot in the Group 1 table of the Super Six stage.
