West Indies ended a 15-match losing streak when they defeated Ireland by 6 wickets in their third match of the group stage. Laura Delany won the toss and chose to bat first. Ireland put on a fighting total of 137 on the board. West Indies took their time and eventually chased down the total with a ball to spare and 6 wickets in hand.

Her innings helped Pakistan pile up a formidable total of 165 on the board. The Pakistani bowlers bundled out Ireland for just 95 to win the match by 70 runs. Nashra Sandhu was the wrecker-in-chief as she picked up 4 wickets in her quota of 4 overs while giving away just 18 runs.
Nida Dar and Sadia Iqbal also bowled well and picked up a couple of wickets each. The huge margin of victory has certainly lifted the net run rate of the Bismah Maroof-led side and they can entertain thoughts of reaching the knockouts. However, they can ill afford slip-ups from hereon.

Shamilia Connell: The right-arm fast bowler ruffled the feathers of the Irish top order and will look to continue in the same vein against Pakistan. She has a good record against Pakistan in T20Is, picking 12 wickets in 11 matches. This is the highest number of wickets taken by her against any opposition.

Muneeba Ali: The left-handed batter played a breathtaking knock against Ireland and will once again hold the key at the top of the order. She has the technique required on South African pitches and could cause a lot of trouble once she gets her eye in.
