ICC women’s ODI rankings were declared on Monday, which saw an escalation of the star Indian batter, Smriti Mandhana. While Mandhana has moved up to the 6th position with 704 points, Harmanpreet Kaur with 702 points has dropped to the 8th position. The ever-impressive Beth Mooney has topped the batter’s list. Her impressive performance against England helped her replace Chamari Aththapathu, who was in the top position for merely 2 weeks period. Her scores at the Ashes helped her team immensely in securely perfect wins over England.
The Ashes 2023 has had an immense impact on the rankings of certain players. Natalie Sciver Brunt stands 2nd, with her amazing performance at the Ashes. With a rating of 736, Sciver has reached her career’s highest. Sciver not only contributed with the bat in hand but also with the ball, making her the finest, and helping her gain better points.
Sciver’s captain, Heather Knight has also escalated to a considerable ranking. She now sits equal to New Zealand’s Sophie Devine in the 14th position. Gardener has also been placed higher with her brilliant performance as a batter and a bowler. Her 54 runs and 3 wickets so far, have gained her 8th position among top batters and 5th among the all-rounders.
