The 29-year-old Tammy Beaumont has surpassed the likes of West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor and New Zealand’s Amy Satterthwaite and Australia captain Meg Lanning and currently leads by 16 points as well. Notably, this is the very first time in her 12-year ODI career that she placed at No. 1, her previous best ranking was at fourth position in July 2019.

The youngster is now in the 13th position in the all-rounders’ list as well. Brooke Halliday, the debutant, who smashed the consecutive fifties both times she batted, has entered into the rankings in 59th position while medium-pace bowler Hannah Rowe has gained three places to reach 43rd position among bowlers in the list.
On the other hand, Team India didn’t feature in any international series for the past one year since the global pandemic novel COVID-19 and its imposed lockdown hit the entire world and brought it to a standstill.
