The ICC has confirmed the warm-up fixtures for all 16 teams prior to the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa in January. Sixteen teams will be featured in the two-week event across four venues in South Africa with 41 games scheduled to take place. And the warm-up fixtures begin on January 9 and run for two days before the first tournament match on January 14 as well.
The teams will take part across four venues in Gauteng during the two days of warm-up fixtures – St Stithians College, Steyn City School, Tuks Oval and Hammanskraal Oval. Each team has two scheduled warm-up games, one on each day, before the marquee tournament.
