The Team’s journey has been rather impressive. After losing their very first game, they went off to winning and sealing all of them in their favour right from Pakistan, England to Barbados. The only threat they now pose are the Australians, against whom they lost their first game IT will be interesting to see whether history repeats itself, or revenge gushes and takes over the Indian blood at the finals.

World-class Indian seamer, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar too, added his wishes saying, “Wishing the Women’s team for reaching the finals at Commonwealth. The best part is that cricket was played for the first time at the commonwealth and we are at the finals!”

Spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin too congratulated and lauded the team’s performance. “The brand of cricket you’ve played, the way you’ve played, the spirit that you showed,” he said, “all has been wonderful to watch. We are all extremely proud and looking forward to watching the finals. Whatever happens, you girls have already achieved and given us a lot of moments to treasure.”

Dinesh Kartik, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer too joined the platoon, sending in more love, wishes and power to our women in blue. “From losing the first game and coming back and doing whatever you’ll have done, going right to the semifinals, very well done.
