Australia skipper Meg Lanning re-creates iconic Shah Rukh Khan pose

Delhi Capitals posted a video on social media of its players dancing to a Bollywood song with the lyrics “woh ladki jo sabse alag hai (The girl that is different from all),” which had actor Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role from the movie “Baadshah,” as the team advanced to the Women’s Premier League playoffs. DC captain Meg Lanning ended the performance by striking the famous SRK position while the entire team danced to the music.

“Meg loves the SRK pose!!”, Jemimah remarked on Twitter in response to the video.

Fans of SRK are enamoured about her distinctive pose, so when Meg imitated it, she went trending on the internet. The captain of the Delhi Capitals received praise for her dancing, too.

Meg Lanning’s talent extends beyond her Bollywood-styled posturing. The Australian player has used her explosive batting to light up the first season of the WPL. Lanning is now WPL 2023’s second-highest run scorer with 310 runs under her belt. She has so far logged two half centuries in the maiden WPL edition.

Until Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals is now the only team to have qualified for the WPL 2023 playoffs. DC has won six of the eight games they have played in the tournament so far. They currently have 12 points and a net run rate of +1.856.
